Nascar Craftsman Truck Series 2023 Worldwide Express 250 race will start on 29th July 2023 at Richmond Raceway. The Nascar Truck Series is back on the schedule after a 15-year gap, it replaces the Xfinity Series. Moreover, the name of the competition will not change, it will be a 200-lap race like the previous year, but the race distance will be raised to 250 laps.

From 1995-2005 Richmond hosted Trucks for the first 11 years. On September 7, 1995, the first Gander Truck Race held in Richmond was a photo between Terry Labonte and Jeffrey Bodin. Mike Skinner won two championships in Richmond in the year 1996 and 2005.

Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier said the rescheduled Nascar Camping World Truck Series regular-season finale and other Nascar Xfinity series games give Nascar a greater chance of returning to the Richmond circuit.
