The Eldora Dirt Derby is a 75 miles or 121km long race held annually in the series named Nascar Gander Outdoors Truck Series, which is held in Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, United States. Eldora Dirt Derby was also known as 1-800 CarCash Mudsummer Classic from 2013 to 2015 and in 2016 its name was changed to Aspen Dental Eldora Dirt Derby. It consists of different Laps like Qualifying races which consist on 10 laps (green flag laps are considered.), Last chance race consisting of 15 laps (green flag laps are considered.) and Feature (Main Event) consists of 150 laps which are classified in different segments like 40, 50 and 60 laps. Only 5 trucks will be a move to the main event from each qualifying round which makes them 25 totally for the final main event. The surface of the racing track is made up of clay which consists of four turns.
Looking back towards the history of Eldora Dirt Derby, since 1970, it was the first-ever race dirt surface which was held in Nascar series. Austin Dillon was the one who won that event. The original name of the event was Mudsummer Classic, but in 2016 it faced a trademark issue with a baseball league, and it was renamed as the new name. The first-ever race was held in 2013. The change in format from 8 lasting laps to 10 lasting laps was made in 2014 and also the requirement from the drivers to pit was eliminated.
