Nascar Talladega Superspeedway Live

Talladega Superspeedway earlier called by the name Alabama International Motor Speedway aka AIMS. It is situated in the north of Talladega the city of Alabama. Its location is on the last Anniston Air Force Base in Lincoln. It is a tri-oval shaped superspeedway. It was constructed in 1969. The construction cost is Four Million Dollars. The architects of the track are Bill Ward and William France Sr. It has asphalt surface with four turns. All turns have a banking degree.

The first & second turn has a degree of 33, the third turn has 32.4 and the fourth turn has 32.5. Tri-oval has a banking degree of 16.5 and back straight has a banking degree of 3. Its backstretch straightway is four thousand ft long and 4.3 thousand ft long curving front stretch which is proving a small fifth turn in grandstand front so that is why it is referred to as the tri-oval shaped. It is owned and operated by International Speedway Corporation. This speedway contains the longest track. Its distance is 2.66-mile-long. It is just like other Nascar’s hosts that is the Daytona International Speedway which is also of a length 2.5-mile-long. Size matters and Bill Ward the main architect of track wants to make it larger than the Brickyard and Daytona superspeedways. This track has a seating of about 175,000 race fans. This track has a lap record of 212.809 mph held by Bill Elliott in 1987 in the Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series event. This track has given the top-level winners since it was started in 1969 and they are 10 in the count. Four of them won the second time in Nascar Premier Series.

Nascar’s top drivers did not wanted to participate in its first race because at the trial events cars reaching at the speed of 200 mph and that is effecting the tires very badly and in the main event they will not reach the total 500 laps and if we do so there may be happening a big accident. All drivers boycott the race but the owner France proceeded to the drivers and convinced them that it is safe to drive on the track and cars will complete all the 500 laps without affecting the conditions of the car. So they were convinced and the first attendance record was about 62000. It also has the record of highest prize money of that time and it was 100000 US Dollars.

Current events hosted by this track include the Nascar Xfinity Series, Camping World Truck Series, Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series, Nascar Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Racing Series.
